Info_New Telecommunication Service Provider 新电话网络 Happy

KUALA LUMPUR: Happy, an independently operated business unit of DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, has launched the country’s first no-frills mobile service, whereby calls and short messaging service (SMS) to any network are charged one sen per second, or up to a maximum of 99 sen per call and 10 sen per SMS.

“We got the chance to rewrite the rules of mobile services. We discovered that essentially, 90% of people still use mobile phones to make calls and SMSes.

“These people aren’t interested in colourful marketing campaigns, glossy football sponsorships, concert tickets or even caller ringtones.

“Happy provides customers with a quality service that doesn’t pass on huge development or marketing costs to customers who don’t need or use those ‘frills’,” said Happy head honcho Koay Chee Keong.

Based on a single prepaid plan, Happy’s network will ride on DiGi’s infrastructure.

“Having taken out the extras, the Happy team came up with one very simple price plan: the proposition is that customers only pay one sen per second up to 99 sen.

“After that, the customer could still continue on talking and it will still be 99 sen. For short calls or for long, Happy customers will be just that — Happy,” he added.

Happy is the brainchild of four “rebels” in DiGi who felt that Malaysian mobile customers should have one straightforward plan and not have to pay for the “extras” they do not need and do not use.

這也是全馬首個只提供基本服務(no-frills)的預付電話服務，專攻新的市場。

由于這是市場上最低的收費，詢及這會否影響該公司盈利時，摩登蘭德表示，這項計劃並不會影響該公司的賺幅和市場佔有率，因該公司的產品針對更廣大和不同的市場，因此還是會從中獲利。

數碼網絡針對2000人進行的研究顯示，90%受調查的人都只使用手提電話來傳簡訊及通話，藉此，該公司推出這項計劃，使消費者可以得到更實惠的通訊服務。

「快樂預付服務」主管郭志強指出，這項服務並不是一項優惠計劃，藉此他們還會依據顧客的需要，而推出更佳的服務，例如3G服務。

這項預付電話服務計劃，每則通話收費1仙至最高99仙(可通話45分鐘)，每則簡訊也只收10仙。

而啟用配套和每次加額最低收費都是從5令吉起，使用期限達60天。

What happens if the person you call does not have as much time you do? At Happy, we've thought about that too. Each call is charged at RM0.01 per second. This means that quick "Hi"s and "Bye"s won't cost you much.

2。 一個短訊十仙 (RM0.10/sms; across networks)
Can't talk right now? You'll be glad to know that with Happy, each SMS to your friends in any local operators costs only RM0.10.

3。 每一個呼叫限於九十九仙 (Maximum charge per call is capped to RM0.99; across networks)
With Happy, you do not have to worry about who, where and how long you talk. Every Happy call you make is capped at RM0.99 no matter how long your call is. So be Happy and talk as long as you need to. The maximum talk time can up to 45min, after 45min the call will be terminated and a warning will be given 30seconds before.

4。 六十天的有效期(60 days validity at any amount of reloads)
AND, guess what? You also get 60 days validity with any reload. Now, that's Happy long time.
