What began as one city taking a stand against global warming caught the attention of the world.

In 2008, 24 global cities will participate in Earth Hour at 8pm on March 29. Earth Hour is the highlight of a major campaign to encourage businesses, communities and individuals to take the simple steps needed to cut their emissions on an ongoing basis. It is about simple changes that will collectively make a difference – from businesses turning off their lights when their offices are empty, to households turning off appliances rather than leaving them on standby.

去 年三月31日見證了一場雪梨的奇景. 除了路燈以外, 雪梨tower , 歌劇院, 雪梨大橋, 快要百年沒息過的Coca-cola 標誌, 加上兩千一百個公司全部在晚上8點到9點息燈節約能源. 雪梨市在所有見證人的讚嘆跟歡呼聲中暗了下來. 在這一個小時裡, 兩百萬個家庭也跟著熄燈, 不管是出門還是小小休息一小時. 澳洲成功的在這一個小時結省了雪梨市區 10% 的能源消耗. 這相當於我們少了四萬八千輛車.

因這澳洲雪梨結約能源行動. Earth Hour 地球時間被國際新聞相繼的報導引起世界各地的興趣一起參與. 所以今年3月29日(4天後) Earth Hour 行動擴展到全世界. 藉由大家一起簡單的關燈一個小時, 讓我們再次見證我們有能力來幫助地球, 也能幫助我們自己.

這 個WWF的活動沒有中文網頁. 相信在台灣也沒報導. 但是不希望因為認何的語言障礙阻礙了我們愛地球的心. (更何況這是一次實際的行動, 而不是一個口號).

治疗咳嗽的偏方

1。萝卜葱白风寒咳嗽萝卜1个，葱白6根，生姜15克。用水三碗先将萝卜煮熟，再放葱白，姜，煮剩一碗汤。连渣一次服。宣肺解表，化痰止咳。治风寒咳嗽，痰多泡沫，伴畏寒，身倦酸痛等。

2。红糖姜枣汤治伤风咳嗽红糖30克，鲜姜15克，红枣30克。以水三碗煎至过半。顿服，服后出微汗即愈。驱风散寒。治伤风咳嗽，胃寒刺痛，产后受寒腹泻，恶阴等。

3。芜荽汤平伤风咳嗽芜荽(香菜)30克，饴糖30克，大米100克。先将大米洗净，加水煮汤。取大米汤三汤匙与芜荽，饴糖搅拌后蒸10分钟。趁热一次服，注意避风寒。}发汗透表。治伤风感冒引起的咳嗽。

4。白萝卜蜂蜜治风寒咳嗽大白萝卜1个，蜂蜜30克，白胡椒5粒，麻黄2克。将萝卜洗净，切片，放入碗内，倒入蜂蜜及白胡椒，麻黄等共蒸半小时趁热顿服，卧床见汗即愈。发汗散寒，止咳化痰。治风寒咳嗽。

5。羊蜜膏治虚劳咳嗽肺痿熟羊脂250克，熟羊髓250克，白沙蜜250克，生姜汁100毫升，生地黄汁500毫升。羊脂煎，令沸;次下羊髓，又令沸;次下蜜，地黄，生姜汁，不住手搅，微火熬数沸成膏。每日空腹温酒调1匙，或做姜汤或做粥食亦可。补虚润肺，祛风化毒。治阴虚发热，骨蒸劳热，虚劳瘦弱，咳嗽肺痿，还有润肺润肤的功效。

6。鲜梨贝母治咳嗽肺痈鲜梨500克，贝母末6克，白糖30克。将梨去皮剖开，去核，把贝母末及白糖填入，合起放在碗内蒸熟。早晚分食。清热化痰，散结解表。用治咳嗽或肺痈，症见胸痛，寒战，咳嗽，发热，口干，咽燥，痰黄腥臭或脓血痰等。

7。饮马乳清热止嗽鲜马乳300毫升，白糖适量。将马乳煮沸;饮时加白糖。据介绍，马乳“止渴疗热”，有补血生津，润燥止嗽的功效肺结核的咳嗽，潮热有良好的辅助治疗作用。

8。冰糖燕窝粥治肺虚久咳燕窝10克，大米100克，冰糖50克。将燕窝放温水中浸软，摘去绒毛污物，再放入开水碗中继续涨发。取上等大米淘洗干净后放入锅内，加清水三大碗，旺火烧开，改用文火熬煮。将发好纯净的燕窝放入锅中与大米同熬约1小时，加入冰糖溶化后即成。滋阴润肺，止咳化痰。治肺虚久咳及咳喘伤阴。

9。燕窝梨大养肺阴燕窝5克(水浸泡)，白梨2个，川贝母10克，冰糖5克。白梨挖去核心，将其他三味同放梨内，盖好扎紧放碗中，隔水炖熟。服食。养阴润燥，止咳化痰。治多年痰咳，气短乏力。

10。萝卜胡椒止咳祛痰涎萝卜1个，白胡椒5粒，生姜3片，陈皮1片。加水共煎30分钟。日饮汤2次。下气消痰。治咳嗽痰多。

11。豆浆饮润肺宁嗽化痰黄豆，冰糖。黄豆浸泡磨汁，煮沸后加糖饮用。每日清晨空腹饮1碗。健脾宽中，润燥掐水;清肺止咳，化痰。治疳积瘦弱，肺热咳嗽等。

12。豆腐糖止咳化痰平喘豆腐500克，红糖，白糖各100克。把豆腐当中挖一窝，纳入红，白糖，放入碗内隔水煮30分钟。一次吃完，连服4次。清热，生津，润燥。治咳嗽痰喘。

13。玉米须橘皮治咳嗽玉米须，橘皮各适量。共加水煎，日服2次。止咳化痰。治风寒咳嗽，痰多。

14。萝卜猪肺止咳汤萝卜1个，猪肺1个，杏仁15克。加水共煮1小时。吃肉饮汤。清热化痰，止咳平喘。治久咳不止，痰多气促。

15。糖水冲鸡蛋补虚止咳白糖50克，鸡蛋1个，鲜姜适量。先将鸡蛋打入碗中，搅匀。白糖加水半碗煮沸，趁热冲蛋，搅和，再倒入已绞取的姜汁，调匀。每日早晚各服1次。补虚损。治久咳不愈。

16。芝麻冰糖水治夜嗽生芝麻15克，冰糖10克。芝麻与冰糖共放碗中，开水冲饮。润肺，生津。治夜嗽不止，咳嗽无痰。注:芝麻1把，生姜50克，共捣烂煮汁服，亦有上述疗效。

17。香油炒羊肝治久嗽羊肝60克，香油30克，盐少许。将羊肝切片，锅内放入香油至八成热，下羊肝及盐翻炒即成。润肺止咳。治久咳不止。

18。蒸白梨蜂蜜治久咳咽干大白梨1个，蜂蜜50克。先把白梨挖去核，将蜂蜜填入，加热蒸熟。每日早晚各吃1个，连吃数日。生津润燥，止咳化痰。治阴虚肺燥之久咳咽干，手足心热等。

19。燕窝银耳治干咳盗汗燕窝10克，银耳15克，冰糖适量。将燕窝先用清水测一遍，再放入热水中浸泡3-4小时，然后择去毛绒，再放入热水中泡1小时即成。用瓷罐或盖碗盛入燕窝，银耳，冰糖，隔水炖熟。服食。补虚损，养肺阴，退虚热。治干咳，盗汗或肺阴虚等。

20。薯蓣粥健脾益肺生怀山药30克，白糖少许。将山药轧细筛，调入凉水，边煮边搅，两三沸即成，加少许白糖调味。服食。补脾止泻，补肾收摄。治劳伤咳喘，脾虚泄泻，以及一切赢弱虚损之病。

21。蜜枣扒山药治肺虚久咳山药1000克，蜜枣10个，板油丁100克，白糖350克，桂花汁。湿淀粉。熟猪油少许。(1)山药洗净，放入锅内，加清水淹没山药为度，用旺火煮，待山药较烂时捞起，去皮，用刀剖成6厘米

Umno holds protest at Komtar

Some 500 Umno members and supporters staged a brief protest outside the Penang state government office in Komtar this afternoon.

The crowd - which gathered there after Friday prayers around 2.30pm - chanted slogans such as 'Don’t sideline the Malays' and 'Do not abolish the NEP'.

Upon being instructed by the police, the crowd dispersed some 15 minutes later. No untoward incidents were reported.

The protest, led by Penang Umno secretary Azhar Ibrahim, to protest Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng's declaration that the new DAP-led state government would do away with the New Economic Policy (NEP) policies.

抗议槟州废新经济政策

大约200名马来人今午在槟城光大大厦楼下举行一场示威，抗议新任槟城州政府撤除新经济政策，相信这场示威是由当地巫统领袖策划。
现场约200名马来人高举“别废除新经济政策”、“林冠英不尊重槟城马来人”的布条，且高喊三声“马来人万岁”，抗议槟城政府宣布取消推行新经济政策。来自巫统的槟城前副首席部长阿都拉昔（Abdul Rashid）也在现场。
目前光大楼下数条马路已被警方封锁。集会在3时10分宣布解散，但截至3时15分，人群还没有散去。约3时25分，人群祈祷过后陆续解散。
可是六辆镇暴队卡车和一辆水炮车在3时30分左右陆续进驻现场。当时现场仍有人群站在光大楼下四周驻足观望。
3时35分，槟城东北县警区主任阿占（Azam）下令人群在五分钟内解散。目前现场已几乎清场。

Are u affordable to buy a super condo / bungalow that worth more than RM1 million?
as u can see.... within last few years until now.... how many super condominium are in progress, but tell me....
izzit all / most the units are belong to penangites? or foreigners?
please.... this is not we want....
i choose to stay in a medium cost house without paying extra life expenses rather than living in a super condo or high cost house by paying extra cost for fuel, tol fee, expensive economy rice and even having a supper in mamak stall, we still need to pay extra service charge.
dont u think that those project or so called over development in Penang are not what our as Penangites wishes?

I dunno why some of them think their are rich but definitely not me for now...

檳州聯合政府改革議程：

1.撤銷所有於2008年3月11日之前，由檳島和威省市政局發出的小販執照及違規停車傳票。這些針對停車與小販執照所發出的傳票僅取消一次，協助減輕人民，尤其窮困人民的生活負擔。

2.規定檳州首席部長、州行政議員、州立法議會議長及副議長、檳島市政局與威省市政局主席，都必須公佈本身的私人資產。

3.採取對投資者友善的政策，積極吸引能提供高收入工作的本地及外國投資者。

4.重新檢討獎掖措施，鼓勵高科技工業及製造業在全球價值鏈自我提昇；尋找對策協助中小型工業／企業，與本區域的出口市場接軌。

5.不採納新經濟政策，避免縱容朋黨主義、貪污及行政體系效率低落。政府的所有採購工程及合約公開招標，競標資訊上載至互聯網，公開讓所有人查詢。政府也會優先頒發給檳州註冊的承包商。

6.倡導“全民入股”的經濟概念，不分種族和宗教共享繁榮的原則，規定所有在檳州獲分配總值每年逾1000萬令吉政府合約的公司，必須讓人民分享部分盈利。

7.加強醫療旅遊的潛能；提昇旅遊的基本建設；與聯邦政府機構、旅遊業者對話，取消足以妨礙檳州發展成為旅遊熱點的管制條例。

8.通過各項策略吸引人才回流，讓散佈全球各地的檳城人返回家園；或通過創建能夠讓他們參與州政府發展計劃的平台，為檳州創造更多商機。

9.嘗試依據憲法113（4）條文，恢復地方議會選舉。在過渡期間，援引地方政府法令10（2）條文，委任工商領域專業人士，或非政府組織的代表成為地方議員。

10.指示行動黨和公正黨的國會議員，制訂資訊自由法令，允許所有不會妨害公共利益的資訊自由流通。

11.召見檳島市政局主席及相關檳州州政府機構官員，重新檢討備受關注的檳城環球城中城（PGCC）計劃。

12.尋求對策實現檳州人民“居者有其屋”的心願，進而提昇人民的生活素質。

13.承諾在任期結束時，檳州的交通系統將出現顯著改善。

14.與幾個相關的聯邦政府機構代表見面，商討如何或能否廢除北海──居林快速大道的雙溪育收費站。

15.尋求會見首相阿都拉，讓對方聽取及回應檳州人民在全國大選時表達的意願，例如通過國油承擔聯邦政府計劃興建的檳城第二大橋建築費。

Final Result of Malaysia 12th General Election

KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia's ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) has been returned to power but without the crucial two-thirds majority in Saturday's general elections, in its worst performance since independence in 1957.

Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi's multi-racial coalition won 139 out of 220 seats counted for the 222-seat Parliament, state television reported. Even if the BN wins the remaining two seats, it would fall short of the 148 seats needed for a two-thirds majority.

The only other time the 14-party coalition failed to win a two-thirds majority was in 1969 when it secured 66% of the seats. This time, it would have only 63.5% if it wins the remaining two seats.

A two-thirds majority is needed to amend the Constitution. The last time the BN lost that majority was in the 1969 election.

In the 2004 elections, BN had a landslide victory when they clinched 199 of the 219 seats.

Adding to the BN's woes this time, three of its component parties - the MCA, Gerakan and MIC - were almost routed. MIC president S. Samy Vellu, Gerakan acting president Koh Tsu Koon and PPP president M. Kayveas were trounced.

PM Abdullah, who is also the BN chairman, retained his Kepala Batas parliamentary seat in Penang while his deputy Najib Tun Razak won with a huge margin in Pekan in Pahang.

Asked whether the election results showed the people had lost confidence in his leadership, Mr Abdullah said: " No...this is the people's stand to show their
stand not to give us a two-thirds majority."

On the defeat of several of his Cabinet ministers, the prime minister said defeats are normal.

Besides Samy Vellu, who is also Works Minister, Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, Zainuddin Maidin and Abdul Aziz Shamsuddin were also defeated in the elections.

Mr Abdullah also denied talk that he would step down as prime minister.

"I don't know who is being pressured (to step down) I'm not resigning," he told a press conference at the BN operations centre at the Putra World Trade Centre.

Mr Abdullah, who has been prime minister since November 2003, said he would have an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, on Monday on the formation of the new government.

施政蓝图

本党创党迄今已有卅八年历史。但是，但基于国内根深蒂固的种族政治生态，加上当局长期实施违反“一人一票”原则的不公平选举制度，导致本党一直以来都没有机会参与管理国家事务来施展抱负。

此外，从过去的联盟（国阵之前身）到今天的国阵政府为了矮化本党，不断诬蔑本党“只会为反对而反对、“而没有治国政策”以及“缺乏执政的能力与经验”。

事实上，本党在严守在野党岗位的这些年来，在各个历史阶段的宣言与在日常针对数以万计的民生问题里，均凸显出本党在秉承民主社会主义及“马来西亚人的马来西亚”信仰的基础，制定了替代国阵政府既有公共政策的另一套宏伟蓝图，以待本党有朝一日能在组织各级政府的实践行动上，作为一贯的指导性原则。

议会改革：
恢复城市、乡镇、县及地方议会选举；废除国会上议院委任制；否定国阵在国会中的三份之二控制权，使议会成为全国及各州最高和具有实际意义的仲裁机构。

选举制度改革：
还原宪法中尊重“一人一票”精神的选区划分制度，主张年满十八岁的公民即拥有投票权，同时强调设立一个真正独立的选举委员会，以营造一个公正、自由以及廉洁的选举文化。

建国政策：
承认所有的马来西亚公民皆为土著，并在国民生活的所有领域落实民族平等、容忍礼让以及同舟共济的精神。

经济发展政策：
在强调合理分配国家经济资源、减少破坏环境、反对“党国资本主义”私营化政策的原则下，以“绩效和需求”取代种族固打制来维持国家有序的经济安定与成长。

劳工政策：
主张实施“最低工资”和“集体谈判机制”；反对无节制地输入外国劳工及严禁非法外劳；捍卫工人组织工会与罢工的自由权利，以保障工人的利益并促进工人的团结。

社会福利政策：
通过推行国民保健与社会保险计划，落实人人平等享有优质教育、文化、保健、康乐及安全的权利，尤其是老幼残弱与贫穷线下的国民皆能获得更好的社会援助。

传媒政策：
反对所有垄断资讯、压制新闻自由流通的传播法令，以营造一个更自由、公正、活力及具透明度与责任感的媒体环境

教育政策：
反对“1995年教育法令”，主张实施一个“无缝”（开放和没有人为限制）的教育制度，以争取母语教育全面性地被纳入国家教育的主流，并成为中坚的一环。

族群与文化政策：
主张“文化民族”政策，鼓励各个民族在平等、容忍与廉洁的条件下多元融合、自由交流，进而以建立一个具有团结共识的马来西亚文化。

农业政策：
透过非种族化的土地分配制度、控制租金、拨出更多农业贷款、减轻农民税务以及土地改革计划以落实“耕者有其田”的目标。

环保政策：
匡正以往破坏生态环境的经济挂帅政策，捍卫宪法所保障的原住民森林地拥有权。有关天然资源的开发如设立水坝工程，均应先行严格评估与监督。

外交政策：
在促进国际和平正义与“不结盟运动”的原则下，积极反对帝国主义和种族主义，并支持世界各地为争取解放与自由的正义斗争。

国防政策：'
国防武力以自卫为原则，反对政预算案过度侧重国防开销，因而主张国民服役制，强调人民团结一致并具有回弹力才是国防最坚强的后盾。

妇女政策：
反对所有歧视妇女权利与尊严的法律，致力争取妇女在各阶层的参与权，包括领导与执行的层次。在任何一项课题中，妇女的看法与她们的特别需求，都应受到咨询与照顾。

青年政策：
主张九年强制性义务教育，废除打击青年学生积极性的大学固打制与“大专法令”，并致力清除一切阻碍青年投身服务国家社会的歧视性与打压性的法令及政策等障碍。
