Talk on Organic field-effect transistors (OFETs)

The IEEE MTT/AP/EDS Penang Chapter is very pleased to bring you a talk on "Organic field-effect transistors (OFETs)" by Dr. Kean C. Aw of the University of Auckland. Dr. Aw's main expertise is in semiconductor devices & materials. His current research is in the development of thin film transistors, sensors and actuators using amorphous oxide semiconductor and polymeric electronic materials such as ZnO, polypyyrole, polythiophene, polyanilene, etc. He has over 30 published papers in Technical Journals and Conferences.

Polymer Electronics

Organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) based on solution-processible polymeric materials have shown impressive improvements in their performance during recent years. These devices have been developed to realize low-cost, large-area electronic products. This presentation provides an overview of what is polymer electronics and also the research work performed at the Faculty of Engineering and The University of Auckland, NZ.

Several research topics covering the development of OFET's non-volatile memory incorporating ZnO, polyaniline(PANI) nanotubes field-effect transistor as gate controllable diodes and newly synthesized functionalized polythiophene as OFET deposited using electropolymerization technique for DNA sensing will be discussed.

Review_Alien VS Predator2: Requiem

刚刚看完一步期待很旧又抱着很大期望的一部戏
alien versus predator: requiem
应该是
alienssss versus predator 吧！
整套戏就只有一只predator对付很多只的aliens

这套戏对我来说是满恐怖的
因为我比较不能接受哪些怪物,身上哪些湿嗒嗒的效果
就是觉得很恶心

置于对战方面, 两者的对战画面会比较少
然而,看到的是一个接一个的人类被怪物给杀了因为为了要繁殖
人类对怪物的对战还好,多数是演一些如何逃离危机的画面

可能这套戏的牵涉范围太广了,有警察的,有军人的,有学生的,太多太多的不同角色
导致这套戏有点慢
自因为这样
这套戏的故事都马马虎虎的带过的说
最后还是由一粒炸弹来结束

没有什么突破
比较跟前一集
还是比较喜欢第一集
怎么说
那套比较像两大恶势力的对敌
这只是一个以多欺少的战斗

评价: 6/10 吧
应该还能做得更好,情节方面不要马马虎虎,随随便便.

要如何把一张照片的背景弄成黑白，主体留下原有的颜色？
编辑程式Program: Photoshop 7 or latest

1) desaturate 整张照片，你得到类似黑白的照片。
可以用快键 Ctrl+Shift+U 或是 image >> adjusment >> desaturate

2)在右边的 history tab，在＂Open＂ 的左边有个正方格。
移滑鼠到那空的正方格会出现 Set the source of the history
brush，按正方格设定。

3)选 history brush。

4)用 history brush 在主题上。

槟城24日讯）槟城黄金倒数本月31日隆重引爆！已迈入第3年的槟城黄金倒数活动，今年移师旧关仔角举行，预料吸引超过10万人出席，共迎2008年。

槟州旅游局总经理陈仁发说，槟城黄金倒数迎新年，已成了州内其中一项品牌节目，而今年主办单位将会以派对方式进行，会场将设有道地美食摊档。

他是于周一上午在光大56楼举行的槟城黄金倒数迎2008年的新闻发布会上，如是指出。

为让民众尽兴而归，除了歌手们的表演外，大会也设有游戏和幸运抽奖。举凡在12月25日至31日期间，登记成为019或013用户者，将有机会赢取价值超过700令吉的916金手链。

旧关仔角面海路31日封路

陈仁发也透露，旧关仔角面海路（Jalan Tun Syed Sheh Barakbah）将在当天封路，道路使用者要注意。

筹委会CreatiVision.D.C有限公司董事经理林丽沄说，今年大会总共准备了6份幸运抽奖。倒数当晚将有长达7分钟的烟火表演，总耗资3万令吉。

她表示，在迎庆新年之际，大会也不忘关爱社会有需要者，为蓝丝带活动展开筹款，以协助患癌病童。

另一方面，她也欢迎民众携带衣物或棉被，以捐助东海岸受水灾影响的灾民。

摄影_数码摄影户外人像技巧29条

人像拍摄是数码摄影中最常见也是最难把握的部分之一，因为户外人像拍摄的环境在变化，拍摄的目的也有所区别，拍摄的对象也不同，实际上户外人像拍摄也没有放之四海皆真理的标准，以下这些是户外人像拍摄的一些技巧经验汇总，希望对各位的拍摄水平提高有所帮助。

　　★拍摄人像的表达意图，一是表达人物本身的形象，二是展现拍摄者本人的意图，当然对于家用数码摄影来说，我们往往是为了展现拍摄对象本身的形象，比如小孩子的活泼，女友的青春美丽形体等。此外人像摄影还可以表达一些拍摄者本身的意图，比如纪实类的摄影题材。

－拍摄主题－

　　★我们要把被摄者的脸孔拍得像他本人之外，还要把他的性格、他的精神状态拍摄得像他本人。这一点比较抽象，如何达到神形统一，是户外人像拍摄的一个难 点，关键是要让拍摄对象自然地流露出本身的气质和精神，户外人像摄影的时候，应该让拍摄对象处于自然的心态下，不要矫造。

　　★户外人像可分为两大类：一类是客观地表现被摄者－主要是运用镜头的特点，把人物的五官轮　廓的美点快现出来。一类则是表现拍友心目中的想象－主要是把被摄者当做为一件"活道具"，尽量运用画意的手法，使照片的画面显得悦目而优美。

--光的利用－

　　★户外光线在任何情形下都可以拍摄出好照片，问题只是采用光线的手法是不是得当。所谓光角度，包括太阳位置，被摄者位置及相机位置。户外人像和室内人 像主要是光源性质的不同，其次则是由于拍摄环境的不同，充分利用正光，测光和逆光的特色来突出主题。正向光可以表达积极活泼明朗的心情和主题，测光可以表 现含蓄思索的主题，逆光表达的是深沉神秘的气氛。

　　★在户外，如果想人物不皱眉，最好是不让光直接照射到眼睛，如采取斜光、侧光或背光的光线等。

　　★如果要在阳光之下拍照，可教被拍照的人保持着摆布好的姿势，闭起眼睛来，等到按快门时才教她张开。

　　★太阳位置在时钟面五字至七字处都属于前光。在三字四字或八字九字处都属于侧光。由十字至二字则属于背光了。前光和侧光之间的就是前侧光。在侧光和背光之间的就是背侧光。

　　★日出之后和日落之前的两小时以内的阳光，都属于低光位置。上午八时至十时，又下午三时至五时的太阳位置，相当于中光的高度。上午十时至十一时，和下 午两时和三时，则相当于高光的位置其余由十一时至下午两时都属于顶光范围了。户外人像当然以中光和高光的位置拍出来的效果最理想。

　　★户外的背景和光源都不能加以更动的情况之下，只有移动被摄者和照相机来获得最好的效果。


　　★数码相机测光方式是采用TTL的，人像拍摄的时候最好采用点测光或者中央重点测光，特别是逆光拍摄的时候最好采取点测光，测光主题是拍摄对象的脸部。

－取景－

　　★拍摄户外人像，首先要注意背景，初学者拍照时只顾看人，全部精神都放在人物的身上，对于背景往往不加注意，事前既不加选择，拍时也不予留心。

　　★背景初步选好人物站过去，还要再来一次背景的鉴定。我们要看背景的趣味和人物是否配合，背景的色调和背景的线条等跟人物有没有冲撞。

　　★到郊外拍摄人像，对于背景的处理原则“不利用就消除它”，如果在摄影中拍摄的背景有画蛇添足之嫌，可以通过电脑后期处理来消除。

　　★凡在照片里出现的景物，都要和主体有关连，不是衬托他的姿态，就是加强他的情趣，不是增加他的美感，就是使他更突出。

　　★凡是户外人像的背景，拍得清楚也好、拍得模糊也好，总以简洁为宜。最忌是黑黑白白、花花绿绿，那就不论大光圈或小光圈都一无是处了。

　　★背景的所谓乱，是指景物的线条太多，和形相不一致，使人的视线不住地左看右看，因而分散了主体的吸引力。

　　★背景上的线条或形相，如果是统一的、一致的，都是使照片产生美感的辅助力量。这是不可不知的。

　　★凡是横过照片的直线，不要把它放在正当中，也不要在人物头顶至腰部之间横过。

　　★背景跟人物不配合，给人的印象是背景归背景，人物归人物，两者不能结合成完整的有机体，那自然不能成为一张具有美感的照片。

－姿态摆放－

　　★户外人像要求的只是假自然的姿势，即经过摆布技巧处理之后，令人觉得自然而且有美感的姿势。

　　★采用镜头角度，必须要有目的，有作用，千万不要为角度而角度，为新奇而角度。

　　★如果手或脚被景物或身体隔断，在照片上只看见手臂，或者只看见手掌，那时候就会有被切断，或者无主孤手的感觉。

　　★人物的手，在照片上，要就全部看得见，否则全部隐藏起来。最好将手布置在脸孔和胸肩的附近。

　　★身体太侧的话，最好是只要一只手，如果两只手都要的话，身体的姿势就不要太侧。

　　★在户外人像照片中，一定要让手有些工作，有些任务，在照片里有些作用。

　　★在拍摄之前，拍友和被摄者能够进行交谈，，对于拍摄表情自然的人像是有帮助的。

　　★临场经验是十分重要的，我们只有多实习，多检查，从错误中吸收经验。实习，是训练自已的手；检查，则是知道自已的错误。检查后再实习，则是提高自已的技术。

Info_New RM50 Bank Note

Bank Negara Malaysia Issues New Design for RM50 Banknote to Commemorate Malaysia's 50th Anniversary of Independence

Bank Negara Malaysia today announces the issuance of a new design for the RM50 banknote to commemorate Malaysia's 50th Anniversary of Independence. This new design of RM50 banknote is the first denomination of the Fourth Series of Malaysian currency notes which will be replacing the existing series in stages.

The New Design RM50 Banknote

The new design RM50 banknote retains the predominant colour of green-blue. The main theme of the design is the National Mission where the first thrust is "to move the economy up the value chain" which reflects Malaysia’s economic transformation to the higher value-added activities in the agriculture, manufacturing and services sectors of the economy.

The dominant intaglio portrait of the first Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Rahman ibni Tuanku Muhammad, is retained on the right and the national flower hibiscus is in the centre on the front of the new RM50 banknote. Design patterns from songket weaving, which are in the background and edges of the banknote, are featured to reflect the traditional Malaysian textile handicraft and embroidery.

The first 50 million pieces of the new RM50 banknote features Malaysia's first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj at the historic declaration of Malaya’s independence and the logo of the 50th Anniversary of Independence on the reverse side.

Security Features

The security features incorporated in the Fourth Series of RM50 banknotes are as follows :

• The Watermark Portrait can be recognised by tints that are lighter or darker than the surrounding paper. This watermark portrait which has a three-dimensional effect appears without sharp outlines. At the base of the watermark, the numeral 50 is clearly visible.
• The Security Thread is embedded in the paper and appears on the reverse side of the note as a silver coloured dotted line. When the note is held against the light, it is seen as a continuous dark coloured line and the repeated text BNM RM50 can be read. When viewed under ultra-violet light, the thread is seen in various changing colours known as the "rainbow effect".
• Micro-Letterings of "BNM RM50" which can be viewed under a magnifying glass.
• Invisible Fluorescent Elements can be seen through various elements of the background on the obverse and reverse side of the banknote and will fluoresce in different colours when viewed under ultra-violet light.
• Perfect See-Through Register feature where the graphic songket design on the obverse side of the note will register perfectly with the same graphic songket design on the reverse side when it is held against the light.
• Multicolour Latent Image of the denomination 50 can be seen when the banknote is tilted slightly and the colour changes when it is rotated.
• Holographic Stripe features the denomination 50 and the hibiscus flower, with a multi-coloured pumping and matt-structure effect.

Sale of RM50 banknote with Special Packaging

The new RM50 banknote with a special packaging will be available for sale to members of the public. It will be priced at RM60 per set. Twenty thousand (20,000) sets will be available for sale from Wednesday, 26 December 2007 at Bank Negara Malaysia's Head Office, and at Bank Negara Malaysia’s branches in Pulau Pinang, Johor Bahru, Kuala Terengganu, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching. The availability of these banknotes will be on a first come first served basis and will be limited to one set per person.

The new RM50 banknotes without special packaging will be available through commercial banks on 30 January 2008 onwards.

大家似乎只记得圣诞节在12月25日
但老忘记冬至在什么时候

　　这次，尼古拉斯·凯奇将率领众人揭开林肯遇刺的真相。

今天在皇后湾逗留整整八个小时，吃了午餐，直到晚餐，就看了这部戏。
这部戏给我的感觉会比较复杂，牵涉了以前美国历史，一个家族的名誉，和一个国家的宝藏。
有些地方还很不可思议的说，就是觉得很不合逻辑，夸张式的冒险，机关以及陷阱。
不会像前两套那么血暴，死伤人数也减低了。
不论如何，这故事情节是属于思考型的，比较动脑筋的。不过不管脑筋几好，都猜不透下一步是回怎么走。
评语是6.5/10，因为也是有冷场的一幕，加上这集不能比上集来得好看。不过也值得支持的。

还记得之前介绍过有一间较多春的茶室
今早突然心血来潮，就把一位朋友给叫醒了到那里吃蒸面包
到了多春，人潮很多的说，就和一位uncle共有一张桌子
有两个状况发生，这就是为什么会挑起我的引来分享

状况一
由于下单的人很多，我们是属于第四桌的下单排位
不过却是第一桌食物先到的
看见对面那先下单的父子，好像很不耐烦的
hmm可能我们是熟客，所以在这方面会有途经

状况二
坐着对面的那位uncle突然间问起我们是不是新加坡人
然我们受惊，有点措手不及的反应
接着他就问，你是住哪里？
朋友就回答说 rifle range
那个uncle就很大声地说
‘oh, the terrible place, the dirty place with a lot of dirty flat’
就让我们觉得很无奈
接下来就聊了很多很多
最后我们就问他一句
‘where u from?’
他就说从新加坡来的
那怪他会这样问我们
他还说，他是坐巴士来的，巴士上有一班人讲话很吵，很想一拳打过去。
讲着讲着，手也跟着摆起来

这让我有一个结论的就是，原来槟城个外国人的印象是肮脏，奇怪的是为什么他会知道打枪铺的环境？
不过打枪铺是一个属于最早有高楼建筑的地方，当然会比较杂了一点。

Info_New Telecommunication Service Provider 新电话网络 Happy

KUALA LUMPUR: Happy, an independently operated business unit of DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, has launched the country’s first no-frills mobile service, whereby calls and short messaging service (SMS) to any network are charged one sen per second, or up to a maximum of 99 sen per call and 10 sen per SMS.

“We got the chance to rewrite the rules of mobile services. We discovered that essentially, 90% of people still use mobile phones to make calls and SMSes.

“These people aren’t interested in colourful marketing campaigns, glossy football sponsorships, concert tickets or even caller ringtones.

“Happy provides customers with a quality service that doesn’t pass on huge development or marketing costs to customers who don’t need or use those ‘frills’,” said Happy head honcho Koay Chee Keong.

Based on a single prepaid plan, Happy’s network will ride on DiGi’s infrastructure.

“Having taken out the extras, the Happy team came up with one very simple price plan: the proposition is that customers only pay one sen per second up to 99 sen.

“After that, the customer could still continue on talking and it will still be 99 sen. For short calls or for long, Happy customers will be just that — Happy,” he added.

Happy is the brainchild of four “rebels” in DiGi who felt that Malaysian mobile customers should have one straightforward plan and not have to pay for the “extras” they do not need and do not use.

前天，也就是我实习的最后一天，约好了几位朋友看戏，这星期总共有三套新戏上映
最后还是选了这套，i am legend，因为想看英文片。
西里有很多惊吓的场面，导致有些人是关着眼睛看戏的。
由于是科幻剧，很多事情就是那么巧合。
在最紧急的时候，重视会有转机的。很搞笑的是主角好想患有人格分裂症，加上身边一直跟随多年的shepherd猎犬，简直就是最佳排档。
很伤心的说就是那只猎犬为了救主人而牺牲了。

这部戏的评分是7/10，由于牵涉的人事物有点少，也缺乏那种令人振奋感觉。不过还是值得看的一部戏。
堆介给一些喜欢寻找刺激的，被吓的人。

今天看了投名状这套戏，故事就不说了，免得讲了就不好看了。
向分享的就是这是一套很血腥的一部华文片无论在战争上或是掺杀里的一幕，都演得非常逼真。
就算是死人，也死得很真。哈哈。
从这部戏当中，可以看到演习之外还有一些生活所发生的真正的一面。
为什么我会这么说，因为这部戏不像一般的，那些英雄都是很酷，很假的说。
话说回来，说刘德华在这部戏里流了13次眼泪，不过从头到尾好像没那么多次吧？

至于评分，我会给8/10。 一些比较喜欢紧张，刺激的，这是一部非看不可的戏，然而可能对一些比较喜欢欢乐的喜剧，比较搞笑情节的，就应该三思。

huu.... it takes me 2 hours to complete second stage
from the first stage, i alraedy done my Orthographic projection, but i found that, there are still sumthing missing, that why i come out this so called Auxiliary view drawing,

one thing still under my problem and consideration is the size, after i got the plan view(top), i found that the place whereby putting the drawing/writing material is not big enough as if achieve the one of the objectives.

stated there the maximum size of material will be measured at 11" x 8.5",
which mean the size will about hit up to 17" x 12".

anyway, the size of the motor maybe smaller than estimated.

为了健康，你恪守着关于饮食的种种箴言。但是你知道吗？
那些你一直深信不疑的饮食箴言，其实很多是充满了片面性的谎言！
现在，是还你一个清晰的真相的时候了。
一提到糖、盐和脂肪，人们就不约而同地说道：“应对之忌口，因为它们对人体的健康有害。”而事实上真是如此吗？其实，万物皆有个度，只要掌握好这个度，你便不会因为它们而受害了。

1、新鲜蔬菜比冷藏蔬菜更健康
如果是指刚从菜地里采摘下来的新鲜蔬菜，这种说法没有任何问题。但事实上我们吃到的蔬菜大都没有那么新鲜了，而通常都是储存了几天之久的了，其维生素也在储存的过程中逐渐地损失掉。相反，超低温快速冷冻的蔬菜就能保持更多的维生素，因为蔬菜采摘之后即速冻，就能很好地防止了维生素的流失。

2、喝矿泉水绝对可以放心
很多人说矿泉水中含有丰富的矿物质，对人体更有益。但是矿泉水也会受到土地中有害物质(如汞和镉)的污染。近日，荷兰科学家对16个国家出产的68种不同品牌的瓶装矿泉水进行了分析，结果发现矿泉水更容易受到危险微生物和细菌的污染，其中蕴含的致病微生物要比想象中的多得多。尽管这些细菌可能并不会对健康人的身体造成太大的威胁，但对那些免疫力较弱的人来说，瓶装矿泉水中的细菌可能会造成相当大的危险。

3、喝咖啡有损人体健康
咖啡容易导致体内的钙质流失，但是只要在咖啡中加入牛奶就可以弥补这一不足了。事实上，咖啡对人体是有益处的，它能促使脑细胞兴奋，具有提神的功效。早上起床后如果觉得尚未睡醒，头脑昏沉沉的，那就喝一杯咖啡吧，头脑会立即清醒过来。喝咖啡只要不过度、不上隐，并加入牛奶再喝，并不会对人体的健康造成损害。

4、褐色面包就是全麦面包
注意饮食健康的人，却经常被食品的颜色所迷惑：褐色面包被看作是健康和营养价值更高的食品。殊不知那只是面包师烘制面包时添加的食用色素，从而使褐色面包更具有诱人购买的色调。因此褐色面包并不等于全麦面包，购买全麦面包最好看清标识。

5、黄油面包片比炸薯条更健康
曾几何时，人们都知道快餐中的炸薯条热量大，转而选择看起来更健康的面包片。但是为了让面包片的味道更好，很多人在吃的时候都会抹上黄油。其实，抹上黄油的面包片和炸薯条相比，两者的油脂含量区别极小，它们含有的淀粉、蛋白质和矿物质也几乎完全相同。而且相对来说，炸薯条所含的维生素C更丰富，所以黄油面包不并不比炸薯条更健康。

6、早餐吃什锦麦片比面包片更加耐饿
什锦麦片内含水果丁、胡桃仁、葡萄干等食物，并添加了牛奶，看起来仿佛更加丰盛，但实际上它和涂果酱的面包片相比，所含的卡路里差不多的。但食用什锦麦片的人，其血糖含量通常较低，而且糖含量越高的麦片就越不容易让人感到饥饿。所以，实际上吃果酱面包片更耐饿。

7、葡萄糖能使人保持极佳的状态
虽然葡萄糖快速提供的“闪电能”可以使人短时间内头脑清醒、精神饱满，但这种能量会很快地被消耗掉，人甚至会感觉到比以前更饥饿。

8、未喷农药的水果不用洗
即使绿色水果，吃之前也要用水仔细地清洗干净。水果果皮上(如草莓、苹果)的虫卵是看不见的。倘若水果不洗净就吃，就容易受到细菌的感染。

9、甜味剂有助于减肥
很多人都知道吃塘容易发胖，所以用甜味剂来代替糖分就可以帮助我们减肥了。但研究表明，所有甜味剂(尤指塘精)均会加速胰岛素的分泌，其结果是让你对糖更依赖。

10、沙拉对人体健康极为有益

Study Life_FYP Proposal

haha... finally finished my 6pages(including front page) proposal.....
hmm... how come proposal has to include the hardware overview, literature review?

i tot it suppose to write in report?

whatever, i already done my proposal and guess what
this proposal not carry any mark for the whole module...

comon, i still got 2 week logbook plus 1 training report to finish up by this month...

faster, faster, tomorrow will be my last day i train in Spansion.

then i can prepare myself for traveling around, taking photo, breathing the free air although the outdoor air condition is not much better than here..... but i can feel freedom... haha

countdown for myself, still got 26 hours to fly out from cage, back to my sunny blue sky.

haha.. finally i am complete my prototype design for my coming final year project.
but i figure out some difficulty to do with my project. this coming friday need to submit the project proposal but now i just finsih draw my design, still got a lot of documentation to prepare and submit together.
hope i can make it.

The main causes of liver damage are:
1. Sleeping too late and waking up too late are the main cause.
2. Not urinating in the morning.
3. Too much eating.
4. Skipping breakfast.
5. Consuming too much medication.
6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring, and artificial sweetener.
7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil. As much as possible reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil. Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is very fit.
8. Consuming overly done foods also add to the burden of liver. Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.

We just have to adopt a good daily lifestyle and eating habits. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our body to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to "schedule."


Because: Evening at 9 - 11pm : is the time for eliminating unnecessary/ toxic chemicals (de-toxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes). This time duration should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. If during this time a housewife is still in an unrelaxed state such as washing the dishes or monitoring children doing their homework, this will have a negative impact on her health.


Evening at 11pm - 1am : The de-toxification process in the liver, and ideally should be done in a deep sleep state. Early morning 1 - 3am : de-toxification process in the gall, also ideally done in a deep sleep state.

Early morning 3 - 5am : de-toxification in the lungs. Therefore there will sometimes be a severe cough for cough sufferers during this time. Since the de-toxification process had reached the respiratory tract, there is no need to take cough medicine so as not to interfere with toxin removal process.
Morning 5 - 7am : de-toxification in the colon, you should empty your bowel.


Morning 7 - 9am : Absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, you should be having breakfast at this time. Breakfast should be earlier, before 6:30am, for those who are sick. Breakfast before 7:30am is very beneficial to those wanting to stay fit. Those who always skip breakfast, they should change their habits, and it is still better to eat breakfast late until 9 -10am rather than no meal at all. 這就像我們於職場上一樣，我應該將工作上的壓力於下班時放下而別帶回家了，回家後應該好好休息，明天再拿起壓力，如此我們就不會覺得壓力的沉重了。

摄影_How to Shoot Sharp Digital Photos Without a Tripod

Tripods are used when you need a steady platform to take a digital photo. In some scenarios not using a tripod will result in a blurry digital photo with its objects either blurred or simply out of focus. However there are times when you will find yourself in a situation that a tripod is needed but you do not have one with you to use. Here are some alternatives to using a tripod when one is not available.

Like film cameras digital cameras are also sensitive to movements and shakings while shooting a photo. If the digital camera moves while the shutter is open the result will be a soft or blurry photo. Usually camera movements are very small and in high shutter speeds the camera does not have an opportunity to move enough in order to distort the digital photo. However in some scenarios such as slow shutter speeds, low ambient light and macro or high zoom photos even the tiniest movement will result in a blurry digital photo.As a general rule photos that are taken with slow shutter speeds or high zoom values should be taken using a steady platform. The best steady platform is a tripod but when a tripod is not available (for example when you travel and you do not want to carry a bulky and heavy tripod with you) there are some other methods and alternatives that you can use as a steady platform. Here are a few:

Lean the camera against a steady surface: you can use almost any surface that is steady in order to stabilize the digital camera. Such surfaces can be anything from a table, a wall, a bench or a light pole. Make sure that the surface is indeed stable by trying to shake it a bit with your hand. When taking the photo put the camera against that surface and apply some force (for example your weight) to make sure it does not move.

Place the camera on a horizontal surface: another option is to simply place the camera on a horizontal surface. The surface needs to be flat and stable. When you shoot the digital photo you should gently press the shutter button making sure that the camera does not move and then let go. Gravitation will make sure that the camera stays stable on the surface. The main problem with this method is that the camera might shake or bounce when the shutter button is pressed. To overcome this problem you can use two methods: delayed photo set the camera to timer mode using the shortest time for example 2 seconds. When you press the shutter button the camera will start counting and will have enough time to stabilize before the photo is actually taken. Remote control if you have a remote control use it to initiate the photo shooting instead of pressing the shutter button.

Image stabilizer enabled lenses: an expensive option that requires thinking ahead is the usage of lenses that include an image stabilizer. This technology can be implemented in a few methods for example using a floating optical element that compensates for movements or by using special software that controls the CCD sensor. Regardless of the technology such image stabilizers can effectively compensate for small camera movements and are commonly used by professional photographers taking high zoom photos.Regardless of the method you use to stabilize your camera one thing to remember is that the more photos you take the higher the chances that one of them will be perfectly sharp and in focus. If the scenario is not easy to shoot and you are afraid that you might get blurry digital photos take your time a shoot a few photos using different stabilization methods and camera settings. You can later on browse through the photos and choose the best one.

Food&Beverage_Ah Leng Char Koay Teow

Famous Ah Leng Char Koay Teow Penang

Fried Koay Teow a.k.a Char Koay Teow is one of the best hawker delicacies in Penang. Penang is famous for its Char Koay Teow. You can easily spot a Char Koay Teow stall in any coffee shop, hawker center and also food court in Penang. It can be consider as a MUST EAT category for tourist and most of them would love it. Although I am born in Penang but I must admit that I am not a fan of Char Koay Teow. I didnt specifically like it or dislike it.

A lot of people came to Penang and wanted to try good and nice Char Koay Teow. There are so many stalls in Penang but which one is the best? If you ask a local people, mostly they will tell you Lorong Selamat, Sister Char Koay Teow or Ah Leng Char Koay Teow. I didnt like Lorong Selamat Char Koay Teow because of the stall owner attitude. The Aunty is so damn snobbish and damn LANSI. Damn it !!!

If you would want to have good Char Koay Teow, I would suggest you to Famous Ah Leng Char Koay Teow. Recently, Fly fm just awarded Ah Leng as the best Char Koay Teow in Malaysia. The stall is located opposite Honolulu Caf 頷 hich previously is Federal Cinema (Lian Bang Cinema). The stalls open from morning till afternoon around 2.30pm. I was there on the last weekend and I would say I enjoy it very much.

When ordering the uncle normally will ask you do you want a normal one or a special one? The special one cost RM8, but trust me is worth it. The special Char Koay Teow had additional big prawns and mantis prawn (Lai Niu Ha). To my understanding Ah Leng is the only one that had mantis in Char Koay Teow.

The Koay Teow are fried together with other ingredients to a perfect level. The Koay Teow, prawns and mantis are just nice, not over fried. You still can feel the juiciness and the crispy of the prawn. From the picture you can see that the prawn is really in XL size. The prawn is really mouthwatering and together with the koay teow it was just perfect. Ah Leng Char Koay Teow tasted very well because of mantis was added into it. The sweetness of the mantis had gone into the koay teow itself. When I order, I had asked for more chili to be added in, I love spicy food. I myself had eaten two plates and I really enjoy it very much.

Overall, I did enjoy my lunch very much over here. Although I dare not say that it was the best Char Koay Teow in Malaysia, but I would say it was one of the best in Penang. If you are in Penang, I highly recommend that you should try Ah Leng Char Koay Teow. It was a little expensive (RM 8) but to me it is worth because of the huge portion of prawn and mantis. I would definitely go back for it and will introduce to my outstation friends. Famous Ah Leng Char Koay Teow, yummy !!!!
